TL;DR: GP Creative, in partnership with Thread Media House, is producing “ESL: More Than a Language,” a long-form documentary film highlighting the journeys of immigrant families building community through English as a Second Language programs. Visit esldocumentary.com to watch the trailer and follow the film.

GP Creative has always believed in the power of good storytelling. Founded in 2010 as a video production company focused on short-form content, our passion for high-quality visuals and compelling stories has shaped everything we do.

Recently, we’ve channeled that experience into our latest adventure: a long-form (feature-length) documentary film. In partnership with Thread Media House, we’re proud to announce a project that’s pushed our creative boundaries and deepened our commitment to serving diverse communities through powerful storytelling. We also partnered with one of our Create Team Subscription (CTS) clients, Festa. Festa has always had a dream of having a platform to share some of the stories they see every day. Combining their dream with our expertise in creating video content was a no-brainer partnership

Here’s your preview of things to come…

A group of immigrant families forced into an English-speaking culture confront a fundamental need: the ability to communicate. Limited access to language education leaves them facing a world that’s foreign at every turn. Through courage and unexpected alliances, their journey to learn English through ESL programming leads to something much deeper — lifelong friendships and a newfound sense of belonging.

A Creative Challenge for Our Team

In the process of making this film, we’ve had to learn and adapt while not losing sight of our mission: to equip communities and inspire people with effective media. We think this project will become “Exhibit A” of our refined capabilities and of our desire to make an impact.

Expanding into long-form content has been both a challenge and an exciting opportunity for our team. Quick hits and viral clips dominate today’s media landscape, but we believe there still remains a vital place for the in-depth, immersive storytelling that documentaries provide. By expanding our expertise, we’ve become more equipped than ever to tell meaningful stories.
